A man went to visit his sick friend in the hospital. They were talking and laughing, but then his sick friend suddenly started breathing heavily. He quickly sat up in bed, grabbed a pen and paper, and jotted down his final words. A few seconds later, the man's sick friend gasped his last breath and dropped dead. The man was too overcome with grief to read the note, so he put it in his pocket and went home.
A few days later, the man was at his friend's funeral. He had forgotten all about the note in his pocket. When he remembered, he took it out excitedly thinking he could read it during the service. When he unfolded and read the note, it said, "Your foot is on my oxygen tube!"
