瓦楞紙黑熊 

前一陣子台北有紙貓熊刮起旋風，今天也有廢棄的瓦楞紙箱作成的環保紙黑熊現身高雄，農業局還搭配蓮池潭的生態路跑活動，吸引兩千多位民眾參加，共同呼籲關心僅存不多的台灣特有種黑熊。

十幾隻模樣可愛的小熊排排坐，仔細看，它們全是用廢棄的瓦楞紙箱，做出來的。

小熊抱小熊，模樣超可愛。台灣原生黑熊全世界只剩兩百隻，比貓熊數量還要稀少的多。為了關心僅存不多特有種，除了有瓦楞紙黑熊展覽外，還搭配上農業局舉辦的蓮池潭的生態路跑活動，吸引兩千多位民眾攜家帶眷來參加。

運動路跑還能帶回樹苗，共同呼籲民眾愛護台灣黑熊，也要關心台灣的環境生態。

An exhibition of cardboard bears draws attention to the plight of the endangered Formosan black bear (2014/05/25)

Following the popularity of the paper panda exhibit in Taipei this spring, a similar exhibit featuring cardboard Formosan black bears debuted in Kaohsiung today. A road race attracting 2,000 participants was also held at Lotus Pond sponsored by y Kaohsiung City’s Agricultural Bureau.

Dozens of cute smiling bears are seated on this stage. If we take a closer look, we see that each is made out of discarded cardboard boxes.

All of them are made in Taiwan. We didn’t cut down any trees. The most distinctive part of the Formosan black bear is the v-shaped pattern on its chest.

These black bears appear quite cute as they appear to be hugging each other. Environmentalists worry that only 200 Formosan black bears exist, making them more scarce than pandas. This exhibition helped draw more attention to the last remaining endemic bears with a road race held at Lotus Pond organized by Kaohsiung City’s Agricultural Bureau also attracting 2,000 people.

We are also planting trees to protect the Formosan black bear.

The Formosan black bear is located at an altitude of between 1000- 3,500 meters above sea level. It really is a national treasure of Taiwan, and everyone should work together to preserve it. 

After participating in this road race, many were given saplings to take home. Organizers also hoped that everyone could join together on behalf of the Formosan black bear to protect the environment and ecology of Taiwan.
