嘉台鐵積水

受滯留鋒面影響，嘉義市今天中午雷雨交加，造成台鐵在嘉義的南靖簡易站鐵軌積水，為了乘客安全，南北雙向各級列車，在12點暫時停駛，直到下午1點13分，才恢復通車。

今天上午開始，嘉義市雷雨交加，從十一點到下午一點半，累積雨量高達185毫米，導致南靖簡易站鐵軌積水，嚴重影響鐵路安全，台鐵因此宣布，暫停嘉義到台南的南北雙向列車通行。

台南火車站也立刻貼出告示，同時讓民眾辦理退票，以改搭客運或高鐵的方式，來疏散旅客。

中午過後，雨勢稍歇，嘉義在1點13分，恢復雙向正常通車；台南站則是到了2點50分才恢復。

Heavy rains in Chiayi City briefly interrupt regular train services (2014/06/03)

Chiayi City braved thunderstorms this afternoon causing flooding at the Nanjin Train Station. This led Taiwan Railway to suspend northbound and southbound services for little more than one hour. 

Starting from eleven o’clock to half past one this afternoon, Chiayi City saw 185 millimeters of rain, which caused floodwater to rise above the tracks at the Nanjing Station. The flood affected railway safety leading railway authorities to immediately announce a suspension of two-way service between Chiayi and Tainan.

The tracks are flooded and railway cars on the both sides cannot pass.

Tainan Station also put out bulletins informing affected passengers how to seek a refund or use other transportation services to reach their destinations.

As the rain lessened, Chiayi resumed two-way train services at 1:13 and Tainan returned to normal operations at 2:50.
