生肖的英文是Chinese zodiac sign 或是Chinese animal sign ，至於12十二種動物的名稱如下：

Rat 鼠 （不能用mouse）
Ox 牛 （不能用cow）
Tiger 虎
Rabbit 兔
Dragon 龍
Snake 蛇
Horse 馬
Goat 羊 （不能用sheep）
Monkey 猴
Rooster 雞 （不能用chicken）
Dog 狗
Pig 豬

Year of the（填入上面的動物）可以用來表達某個生肖年：

A: What’s the Chinese zodiac/animal sign of 2016?（2016 是什麼年？）
B: It’s the year of the Monkey.（是猴年。）
