Typhoon Noul did not make landfall in Taiwan, but it did bring heavy rains to parts of the island. The precipitation was a relief to drought-hit areas. 

These Xizhi District residents in New Taipei are busy sweeping water away. At about 4 in the morning, abrupt heavy rains flooded their home. 

Rain fell for about three hours across central and northern Taiwan. While there was some damage, there was also relief.

The upstream and midstream catchment areas of Shimen reservoir received a high volume of rain over a period of three hours.

After the reservoir topped 30 percent of capacity, the Ministry of Economic Affairs announced an end to two-day-a-week water restrictions in the areas it supplies. The decision came with an appeal to save water as dry conditions return.

Tomorrow, weather will warm across (Taiwan). Highs could be 30 or more. 

The Central Weather Bureau predicts the improved weather will last until next Monday.

紅霞颱風雖然遠離，但帶來不少水氣，加上鋒面影響，讓石門水庫水位回升，也讓經濟部宣佈即日起，新北市板新、林口地區、桃園市以及新竹縣部分地區，解除第三階段「供五停二」措施。

民眾忙著掃水，新北市汐止區，因為凌晨四點的瞬間大雨，排水不及，淹進屋子裡。

中部以北這波大雨下了約三個小時，雖然傳出些許災情，但也為目前缺水的北台灣，帶來好消息。

石門水庫蓄水量飆破30%，經濟部宣佈正式解除石門水庫供水區「供五停二」的限水措施。不過還是呼籲民眾要節約用水，因為台灣又將回到穩定的天氣型態。

氣象局預估穩定的天氣，將維持到下週一。
