know 是「知道」，un-字首表示否定，

因此 unknown 就是不知道、未知的。

unknown 也可當名詞使用，意思是未知的事物、不明情況。

例句：
Discovery recently had some wonderful shows about the "Unknown Taiwan". It includes an in depth cultural and historical look at Taiwan.
最近，《探索頻道》播出一些有關「未知的台灣」的精彩節目。節目內容包含台灣的深入文化和歷史視角。
