union 表示結合、聯合、統一，reunion 則有團聚、再度聯合等類似的意思，

不過 reunion 通常使用在並非第一次團聚的場合，

比如家族聚會、朋友聚會等，因此 reunion 也能表示重逢。

例句：
All friends, faculties and students of the University are invited to the school's annual reunion dinner.
該大學所有的朋友、教職員和學生都被邀請參加學校一年一度的團聚晚餐。
